Executive Chef

The Executive Chef will see the bigger picture and feel comfortable wearing different hats, from the creative to the administrative. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy.



  • Collaborate with Executive team to ideate, strategize, build and implement company goals and objectives
  • Drive culinary vision with progressive health, wellness, and sustainability standards
  • Menu planning, recipe development and testing alongside Culinary Director
  • Daily breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner production
  • Oversight of ordering and inventory control; including Purchaser/Ordering Department
  • Uphold food program values through products and purveyor identification
  • Maintain targeted food costs while not sacrificing creativity or ideals
  • Measure program and staff achievements, progress, performance
  • Quarterly reviews of staff and creation of weekly staffing schedule
  • Uphold highest standards of food quality and workplace safety
  • Maintain and inventory all kitchen equipment, appliances and smallwares
  • Flexibility to assist with supplementary events



  • Executive Chef experience or a minimum of five years experience as Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine
  • Efficient and organized kitchen management and a love of instilling practical systems through positive leadership
  • Experience with large-batch, high-volume cooking
  • Effective management skills including ability to clearly set expectations, establish measurements of success, train staff, and foster teamwork while holding individuals accountable for their actions
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • Microsoft Office suite and Google Doc familiarity required. Be unafraid of the administration necessary to be an exceptional Chef
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, quick-moving and physically demanding environment with a sensible and humorous demeanor
